Food in Portugal, we like to eat!!

This is "Bifana" stewing in the window of the local "cafeteria" in Lisbon. It is sliced pork cooked in a red sauce that is a little sweet, very good and a cheap snack.

Kristi is eating a Bifana at the cafeteria. The little joint was happening. Most people were getting a quick snack and a shot of esspresso. They are only .55Euros. About $.65 cents US.

Kristi and I had a wondeful dinner, I had a dish called Bratz. This may sound a little weird but we are sucker for anyhitng with potatoes in it. The major ingredients of Bratz are...Cod Fish, Potatoes and Egg. Its was sort of mess of ingredients, but it had lots of Garlic and spices and was very delicious. Kristi had a bowl of Seafood Soup "Soupa de Mariscos" or a fish soup. Both were really good.
TRAVEL TIP: In Porugal, they bring food and set it at your table, it is usally a seafood salad, ham, bread and cheese, or some combination. If you don't want to eat it, just refuse it. That little lesson cost us $15 euros. They were all delicious, so it was ok, but you won't get us again clever waiter.
